Klaus Posselt
Klaus Posselt, a born entrepreneur, immigrated from Germany as a teen with his family in the early 70’s. After many years of hard work on the family farm Klaus bought his first logging truck and grew his business(es) from there. Around 2012, in part due to dropping lumber prices and increasing logging costs he recognized the need to salvage and utilize waste timber that would otherwise be left in brush piles to be burnt. Driven by his resourceful nature and a market demand he purchased, redesigned and built a few small sawmills to do just that.
Marcus Shalaby
Marcus joined Pacific Timber in 2019 and brings with him over 20 years of forestry related experience. His vast product knowledge includes home/commercial construction, wholesale lumber, timbers, and specialty products; his communication skills and appreciation for long-lasting relationships with customers and suppliers make him an excellent asset to the Pacific Timber team.
Marcus has a BSc from the University of Victoria and a Real Estate certification from the University of British Columbia’s Sauder School of Business. Being involved in both forestry and real estate sales & development has given Marcus heightened insight, allowing him to always have his finger on the pulse of the market.
When asked “Why Pacific Timber?”, Marcus says that it’s a great group of people with common goals. The family atmosphere, work environment, and benefits make Pacific Timber a great place to work.
